TSRH Literacy Program

Grades 9–A
This one-year course consists of 160 one-hour videotaped lessons accompanied by student workbooks, designed for high school students and adults who read below sixth-grade level. Students work with videotapes and a classroom teacher or volunteer. Instructors do not need special training.
The Literacy Program was specially designed for:
- Students age 14 and older
- Students with average or above average intelligence
- Adults who wish to improve their reading skills
The multisensory Literacy Program teaches the alphabet, reading, cursive writing, spelling, and listening comprehension, with frequent review activities. Through the hospital’s videotaped dyslexia and literacy training programs thousands of students have learned to read and write.
