Neurodevelopmental Examinations (PEET, PEER, PEEX 2, PEERAMID 2) by Melvin D. Levine, M.D., F.A.A.P. Grades PK–12
The
4 Neurodevelopmental Examinations (PEET, PEER, PEEX 2, and PEERAMID 2) are designed
to provide standardized observations on children’s functional health and
its relationship to their neurodevelopmental and behavioral states. Each test
corresponds to a different age group, as follows:
PEET (Pediatric Extended Examination at Three): Age 3 NOW AVAILABLE AS A FREE DOWNLOAD!
PEER (Pediatric Examination of Educational Readiness): Ages 4–6
PEEX 2 (Pediatric Early Elementary Examination): Ages 6–9
PEERAMID 2 (Pediatric Examination of Educational Readiness at Middle Childhood):
Ages 9–15
The tests should be administered by health-care professionals and are normally
given to at-risk children. The Neurodevelopmental Examinations allow clinicians
to integrate medical, developmental, and neurological findings while making observations
of behavioral adjustments and style. Data obtained from these tests should be
integrated with data obtained from parents and teachers through standardized questionnaires
such as The ANSER System.
