The instructions for each lesson are divided into 6 or 7 subtopics, including Alphabet and Sound System, New Learning, Reading, Handwriting, Spelling, Review, and Listening Comprehension. The emphasis of the lesson and its application are detailed. A list of materials needed for each lesson is also provided. A glossary of terms used for instruction is provided in the back of the guide.
